About Me

A few words about me

Passion for Atheltics and Human Performance

I was involved in my youth in competitive sports from a young age, playing baseball, soccer , and basketball.  As an adult I took an interest in Exercise, health and performance and my career is a manifestation of my passion for these things- learning to help myself and my clients to feel and perform our best.

After completing my degree in Kinesiology I continued with advanced exercise education primarily through the CHEK institute and became a certified CHEK Practitioner back in 2013. As a CHEK Practitioner I've learned to assess the body and reveal underlying detriments to movement efficiency and often the causes of decreased performance and pain.

The skills I've acquired have helped me to determine what an individuals mechanical and physiological needs are in order to achieve their  goals  and how to design highly effective exercise programs and  provide nutrition and lifestyle coaching to help them achieve best results.

What my clients say

'Chris's attention to detail with each assessment and program is incredible. Each program is specifically tailored to my weaknesses and strengths and is very thorough in making sure I understand all of my exercises before starting on my program. I feel as though he genuinely cares about my progress and it is nice to work with someone with vast knowledge in rehabilitation, kinesiology and fitness.'

"I have tried to stay active most of my adult life. As a 60 year old boomer, I have a strong desire to maintain my activity level as I age. When I first met Chris I think that I had gotten into a rut. After meeting with Chris I was glad I had decided to change training coaches. Chris has a fresh approach to training that rejuvenated my workouts. He has extensive knowledge of how the muscles work and interact.  The biggest break through for me was resolving a chronic neck and shoulder pain.. Chris designed a recovery workout to aid in the healing process during and after those treatments"

  • Jim MacDonald

    Rehabilitation Client

I want to thank you for giving me the tools and routines to help me live more pain free and mobile. I have always been very active but my lower back pain had progressively gotten so bad that I was to the point of considering surgery in a desperate attempt to minimize it. I have spent thousands on Chiropractors, Physio, massage and was only able to get limited short term relief. I have found by following the stretching and exercise programs you provided I am living pain free with increased mobility.

Based on this 45 year olds results I believe many individuals could benefit from the Chris’s expertise.

Got Questions?

Contact Chris Burton today if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment

  • When does the training starts/finishes?

Training begins on the second session.  Session one starts with a comprehensive Assessment which will include detailed postural and biomechanical measurement to determine the priorities of one's program that will set the foundation upon which the rest of their program will be structured

  • Will I be able to follow along with the trainer?

Various options and tools are available to help individuals succeed in their fitness, performance, or rehabilitation journeys. One on One personal training sessions provide the best instruction and hands on guidance with techniques; but in addition to this each client's exercise program is laid out workout to workout and complete with picture, videos, and detailed instructions on how to perform each exercise in that workout.

  • Which trainings do you recommend taking?

If you are looking for assistance in achieving your fitness goals, athletic success, or rehabilitating from an injury (whether acute or chronic) book an initial assessment with Chris today. The assessment will reveal details of your current orthopedics and fitness state and make more clear what things to work on to have the biggest impact on improving the things you desire. This assessment will also help to create a plan based on ones means and needs to achieve ones goals as quickly and efficiently as possible

  • I have no major fitness goals or pain complaints. I am also not interested in joining a public gym or investing much in exercise equipment but am interested in improving my vitality and health. Is there anything you can offer?

Gyms are not necessary to achieve excellent health though they often help in the development of high levels of fitness and performance.

Improving one's vitality can be improved with the development of good nutritional and lifestyle habits which I can help you with; and also regular physical activity of your choice.  Most people have a number of othopedic challenges that they are unaware of that  factor into aches, pains, and less energy and enthusiasm than they otherwise would have.  The physical orthopedic assessment will help to uncover your physical needs which often can be worked on at home in a simplified time efficient manner with the use of little to no exercise equipment.
